Winning the Micro Jam 022, Start of a Journey!
I made The Nile God in a weekend for the 22nd Micro Jam last weekend. Had tons of fun in the game jam, got 3rd place in the public vote and got a ton of great feedback from everyone who played the game!
Then just this morning, I got the news that The Nile God actually won first place overall in the jam after the judges review!
This was a superb journey, the game is at 1600+ plays and counting and constantly getting more feedback to build on it! I've started working on the post-jam update which should be released later today. It will contain some basic quality of life changes just to make sure the game continues to be fun to play and that the bugs are ironed out for anyone who'd like to play the game!
I'd like to include:
1. Removing buildings and getting those resources back
2. Fixing up a bug with the gatherers that get stuck
3. Polish up the difficulty curve
4. Allowing enemies to attack towers and houses
5. Every day, heal the pyramid a bit
I'd love to hear your thoughts/suggestions you'd like to see in the full demo, and using the prize money I'll be sure to get a Steam page for the game up ASAP!
Thank you so much for playing my silly little game!
